The Wrap: final thoughts on Generation Beauty and prepping for GenBeauty New York

Holla Gorgeous,
Whenever I travel and come home to my loves, I use the saying "I walk through the door running" because the cats, kid and dog are all ready to see me and of course the laundry, dishes, mail and life are waiting.

So as I am getting to all of those details, I have a few final thoughts for you on Generation Beauty and some help for getting ready for the New York event.

Goofy pictures are the best. I know as beauty bloggers and YouTubers it's all about always being "on" and having a full face of makeup and perfect smile, angle and look.

Well. Here I am mid-something in my Smashbox head shot photo session with Steven Khan and I think this one is my fave. Not because it's perfect, but because it's not.

Sometimes, perfect is in being imperfect.

I had a map and a plan for the Los Angeles Generation Beauty event by Ipsy in Los Angeles. And you know what? None of it worked out.

In fact. It worked out better than  I could have ever planned. That goes right back to the Word and God saying that "His ways are higher than ours". Well, thank God for that.

For the New York and East coast crew, I have one piece of advice, and it's not to go to Too Faced Cosmetics first for your sample of Born This Way, or even to hurry over to Smashbox for your head shot with Steven Khan.

First: focus on the others there. I know you want to get all of the free beauty swag that is available. Though the true treasure is in the lady next to you, not the free nail polish.

Second: study the app before you go. I did not. So, please learn from my mistake, and play with the app and start connecting on it now. Make your friends, follow each other and plan collabs and connections.

Why?
Because that is where the value is.

You got this girl! Go have fun! Create something and make a new friend along the way!
