Alyssa Campanella, better known as Miss USA 2011, has been voted in the Top 10 contestants by online fans in the Miss Universe 2011 beauty pageant.
For the first time, the Miss Universe pageant has introduced an online fan vote,which can bring their favorite into the semifinals. The vote has given a boost to the 21-year-old New Jersey native's chances of taking home the title.
The pageant is taking place Monday night in São Paulo, Brazil. It will be broadcast on NBC at 9 p.m.
Now-remember pageant sisters-now is the time to vote for Alyssa to make it all the way to Miss Universe!
She looks gorgeous in her navy blue gown and her smile is bright and makeup light! Lookin'n good girl!
To get that winning pageant look, I have a few suggestions;
1. 2 most important things to your best beauty: rest and water! The more rested and hydrated you are the better your skin and eyes look.
2. Great foundation that is good coverage, but not cakey-try Koh Gen Do HD formula, or Neutrogena Healthy Skin.
3. Bronzer makes you look healthy-so put some on in a big W like pattern across your face-try Milani baked bronzer or Borghese Spectra blended bronzer
4. Lips-nude liner is a must and fill it in with a semi matte honey toned lipstick that is toped with a gorgeous gloss, like YBF in pink!
5. All pageant contestants need lashes to make their eyes pop and stand out to the front row and the back row of audience members-so try the Ardell brand from the drugstore because they are affordable and easy to apply plus gentle on the lids when removing
6. Smile-brush your teeth with baking soda to help encourage stain removal, and add a weekly white strip treatment to keep your smile photo ready
7. Deep condition your hair with a thick schmear of Amika nourishing hair mask and oil, put your mask covered hair into a baggy and let it steam while you finish your shower.
8. Makeup Forever HD powder is the one thing you must have in your kit, your purse, your gym bag, you name it-you pack this powder and a wee brush to apply it with. It's super fine powder is translucent and puts a angel like glow to the face when you set your makeup with it. So get it at Sephora now!
9. Remember to select a 'signature' pageant fragrance! This is so important and a frequently over looked detail! It doesn't have to be the most expensive perfume-but please select a fragrance that from this moment, you only wear when competing for the crown. When you are crowned, then you select a 'crowning' fragrance and it is the one you wear on official pageant business. Until you start competing again, and then select another fragrance. Some of my favorite pageant scents are: True by Faith Hill, Dare Me by Halle Berry, J'Adore by Dior, Guess Seductive I'm Yours, and Composition No.6
10. Finally- the pageant beauty secret you need to compete at any level-whether it's the Cinderella or Diamond Miss pageants where we all start, or your state's final competition before moving onto Nationals-the thing you need most to succeed is the confidence in yourself to be who God made you to be. Don't be try to be someone else because they are already taken-be the best version of you and you will shine!
Good luck to Miss Alyssa Campanella our current reigning Miss U.S.A. and may you bring home the title of Miss Universe to the United States of America! We love you and bless you!
